The Bio-Plugin

An AI generated image of a man sitting in front of a laptop with an audio editing software opened. He is situated in a studio, with a window showing the outside world to be dystopian.
It’s an uncomfortable thought, isn't it? We usually imagine the future of artificial intelligence as a problem of runaway power, of machines becoming too human. But what if the real dystopia is much more mundane? What if it’s just about the cost of electricity? When computing the math of a human soul becomes a line-item veto on a corporate spreadsheet, art doesn't disappear. It just gets outsourced to the cheapest biological processor available. We’re going to dive into the full story shortly. But before we do, I want to pose a question to everyone listening in their cars, their kitchens, or through their headphones right now: If a machine asked you to define the sound of your own ending... what frequency would you choose? Think about that.
